It might not be long until we see the follow up to the device you see above, which is set to celebrate its one-year anniversary when Mobile World Congress kicks off in February. This particular company has been on a tear as of late, not only supplying the world with plenty of quality phablet handsets, but iterations that sport curved glass, too. You certainly can’t accuse the company of standing still, that’s for sure, especially when it’s also busy developing handsets for other companies.

It’s pretty simple to see the allure of such a device given its size and caliber. The phablet craze has taken a lasting stranglehold on the market, and this was one of the best examples: 5.5-inch, Full HD screen, quad-core Snapdragon 600 chip, 2GB of RAM and 13-megapixel camera. Even today those specs are impressive—just imagine what a follow up will come equipped with. Going up against Samsung’s own phablet army, this device had no choice but to knock it out of the part, and for the most part it did. For the size that it was, however, some people might have felt slightly cheated by the lack of a stylus.

Expectations will be high for this device’s successor, whether it does get unveiled next month or not. With Samsung likely sitting MWC out for the most part for its own affairs in the spring, this company will want to make a solid early impression as other competitors begin showing off their best and brightest. We’ll find out fairly soon if a follow up is indeed on the cards.
